On Feb 1st we presented a staged reading of SURVIVE at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, as part of a conference, From Prosecution to Empowerment: Fighting Trafficking and Promoting the Rights of Migrants. As the year comes to a close I want to express my gratitude to New Dramatists for the tremendous support they’ve given Carson Kreitzer and me in our development of RUNWAY SIXTY-NINE. Last night we performed a staged reading of SURVIVE, my new musical about the trafficking of women in Thailand, to a packed house at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. So proud of the beautiful work of our cast: Joan Almedilla, Melody Butiu, Jennie Kwan, Kerri-Anne Lavin, Katy Tang, Lowe Taylor, and our wonderful director, Ted Braun. Onward to the next development phase!
